Moonfall is much better than I thought it would be. It is essentially 2012 meets Independence Day, which is not surprising considering they are all directed by the same director. The story could have been executed better than what is was, but it was super entertaining and I felt I could overlook some of the flaws. The CGI is essentially visual porn. The main characters played by Patrick Wilson, Halle Berry and John Bradley are great as usual in their roles. Michael Pena is great as always. He is such a likable guy that it carries over for me into his roles. The rest of the cast is hit and miss. The story is intriguing and the concept is original and unique. The use of conspiracy theories always is a fun concept for me. Everyone loves good a conspiracy theory. They set up a sequel that actually makes me want to see a sequel. I recommend specifically on the entertainment value. 7.5/10.
